THE NEW ENGLAND AIR MUSEUM
Here are some photos from a fascinating and informative tour we took of the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, CT. Once only a static outdoor display of historic planes, it was devastated by a hurricane. Through the hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers, a new and magnificent indoor display of aviation history has been created to preserve this history for generations to come. THE VINTAGE RADIO AND COMMUNICATIONS MUSEUM OF CONNECTICUT
For those of you unable to attend our recent outing to the museum in Windsor, Ct, we have included some photos of the trip for you to enjoy. The museum proved so interesting, we've decided to give you a small virtual tour. Please take a moment to enjoy, as we did, the interesting history of communications through the past two centuries. It was great fun!
These are just a few of the many parts of this interesting collection. We only scratched the surface. You should all take an afternnon to visit and learn how communication has changed our lives. You won't regret it. Admission is $7.00 per adult, $6.oo for seniors, and $5.00 per student. The hours are Thursday and Friday 10-3, Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 1-4 PM. Their phone is 860-683-2903 and they are located at 115 Pierson Lane, Windsor, CT 06095. The museum is a non-profit organization and can be reached at: www.vrcmct.org. They also always welcome donations to the collection.
